Executive Coaching for Private Clients

executive Coaching for private clients

Every form of natural existence has a rhythm to it. A heartbeat, a daily set of rituals, a seasonal harvest, an annual calendar, the sun rises each morning – all have an identifiable cadence. As a human being, it is no different.

However, huge threats and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities co-exist in a rapidly changing world. Perhaps this has always been the case. But in our world of 24-hour news, an uncontrollable and constant barrage of headline-grabbing negativity forces many of us to lead a reactive, fire-fighting existence.

It is an exciting time to be a business leader and will be a defining moment for many of us. But, running flat-out in all directions without exhaling is not the optimal rhythm for any individual, the businesses they lead or their loved ones.

I support Business Leaders like you, who are trying to excel in a world of increasing competition, pressure, negativity and stress, helping you navigate over, around and sometimes through blockages.

I often hear people use the quote, “control the controllable”? But that’s easier said than done in a fast-moving business environment.

I Work specifically with Business People who face challenges within categories One and Two. I deliver a motivational Executive Support system; I introduce tools which bring structure, purpose and direction, an antidote if you like, to help you stay ahead of the wave.

Category One – I don’t have control, it’s negatively affecting my life and business, and I don’t know how to break the negative cycle.

Category Two – I don’t have control; I know it’s controllable, but I am leading a reactive, firefighting existence. I need a little support.

Category Three – I don’t have this under control, but I know how and don’t need any support to do so.

Category Four – I have everything under control, life is good, I have the tools to and am confident I can keep it under control.

It’s a simple proposition. If I can slow your busy life down, create time and space for you to see your business world differently, and offer new tools and ways of thinking and doing, You will have opportunities for focused action.  I can help get you to category Four

There are four cornerstones to my coaching programme.

Embrace V.U.C.A – We live in a rapidly changing world; the only certainty is uncertainty.

Build a Resilient Mindset – Mindset is how you think and act upon those thoughts. Mindset is the single most crucial factor in your success.

Become Mission-Focused – Focus on the right things, the essential things, at the right time.

Operate with Relaxed Intensity – Who wants to follow a captain who panics at first sight of a crisis, running around like a headless chicken?

The Touchline Coach Programme is a motivational Executive Support system, an antidote to combat the adverse effects of increasing competition, pressure, and negativity within our Business World.

I often hear, “I don’t need a life coach”, “I don’t need a career coach”, and I don’t need a behavioural therapist. All three of those disciplines have their place, but I am none of the above.

I will encourage you to think differently, seek opportunities, identify negative mindsets, and approach your business and personal world, undistracted by false pressure, fully present and fully engaged.

I will help bring direction, structure and purpose to your business life.

The programme’s core is creating a Mindset which I call “Relaxed Intensity”.

I support business people trying to excel in a world of increasing competition, pressure, negativity and stress.

It’s a simple proposition; if I can slow your busy life down, create time and space for you to see your business world differently, and offer new ways of thinking and doing, you have new opportunities for focused action.

I have led businesses across several industries and sectors, from £1m to £150m and personally grown a business through acquisition from £15m to £150m. I led the purchase of 10 companies across 20 locations and the divestment of several companies. I have helped banks reduce their financial exposure and stabilise distressed businesses. I have raised some £35m of investment on the public markets and £20m from private investors.

I tend to work remotely via video and telephone based technology.

Working in this way is more efficient for me and importantly my clients. We enjoy a laugh, of course.  But ultimately, we just want to get to the point of the session, agree the best way forward and get on with business. My focus is upon helping you, so I need to find out how I can do that.

Free 15 minute, or so, chat.

It’s not a consultation, it is a chat.  That’s because, we need to get along and I need to know I can help you.

There is no pressure, it’s just a quick chat to explore opportunities or for you to take advantage of my network of contacts.

What’s next

If our initial chat has identified some opportunities, we book our next hourly slot, and we continue in that way, to suit us both.

No long term commitment

We agree after each session what we will do next, book another session if it’s necessary or beneficial.  Or maybe, you have got everything you need for a while; or don’t have your diary to hand.  In which case I will wait to hear from you.

My clients are typically Business Owners, Chief Executives and MD’s.

Some are looking to deliver a “Stretch” Business plan and that next level of performance.  Some are under immense pressure to stay afloat, and sometimes for varying reasons, just need a second opinion to “sense check” thinking.

What is typical, though:

  • My Clients are all decision-makers, they don’t need to ask for permission to make business decisions;
  • Most, although not all, take part in some sort of fitness related activity.  If they don’t I encourage it;
  • They all require discretion and confidentiality;
  • They are naturally influential leaders;
  • They can see the point of a Coach but are, initially at least, sceptical;
  • They don’t suffer fools;
  • They don’t want to be “told what to do”;
  • They have a bias for action;
  • They are always future based and want to achieve more.

Each one of my assignments is Private, Confidential and Discreet.

Chances are you are reading this because someone has told you about me. I don’t talk about my clients, but I am honoured when they choose to speak positively about me, and generally, that’s how my Coaching Practice has grown – by word of mouth and personal referral.

To make the most of our meetings, you are free to disclose as much information about yourself, your career and your ambitions and areas where you think I can help you make the most of our time together. In doing so, I appreciate that you may well be disclosing private and confidential information.

Save for disclosure obligations for a legal, court order, or government or regulatory authority, I will not disclose any confidential information you share with me.

I work remotely via Telephone, MS Teams, Google Meets or Zoom.

A quick 15 minute chat to identify if I can help costs me nothing more than a bit of time.  If I add value in that time, tell someone.

If you decide to work with me, I charge £150 per session which lasts up to one hour.  I send an invoice after each session.

I don’t believe in long term contracts for coaching, it’s such a personal thing, specific to each individual. There is no long term commitment. We book in each session as you choose as you wish.

I tend to Coach 2-3 Business Leaders at any one time.  I am not a “mass market” Coach.  I Coach people who I can support.   Similarly, I am not under any pressure to have any clients.
